I am not even going to explain how much work it was to get El Capitan on a 2009 Mac mini. Nor will I discuss how ridiculous it was to replace the HDD with a SSD as the boot drive without having the original disk and without cloning. It’s been a pretty interesting 24 hours since getting this machine and staring at screens going through issues I’ve never experienced in decades of Windows PCs.

I’m having the same issue with El Capitan GM (10.11 15A284) and Xcode 7 (7.0.1 build version 7A1001). I can’t use the gcc49 workaround because I need the OpenBLAS port which has a recursive dependency on gcc48 via dragonegg-3.4-gcc-4.8. Apple today announced that OS X El Capitan will be available on Wednesday, September 30 as a free update for Mac users. There have been reports of incompatibility between beta releases of OS X El Capitan and Xcode, with Apple suggesting a workaround on the Apple Developer Forums here. If you download Xcode 6.4 posted yesterday, then copy ContentsDeveloperPlatformsiPhoneOS.platformDeviceSupport8.4 (12H141) to the Xcode 7 beta, it seems to work fine. Yes, IPhone Connected. Finally, I combine El Capitan, iOS 8.4, Xcode 7 and worked well. XCode 8 El Capitan Mac OSX 10.11.6 Part #1.

So,to give a backfround, all I wanted to do was test build projects right? All I wanted was a very cheap $99 way to test out my projects on iOS as I plan on releasing my games on the platform in the future. I do not want to hear about how I should have bought a computer that costs 5x as much to do these test builds.

Anyways I got unity installed and was going to deploy a sample project. Can anyone explain to me why the version of xcode on the app store doesn’t support El Capitan? See, I can’t figure it out because if there is anything I now know about code now it is that legacy platforms can run our application, just without all the newest things. So, am I missing something like usual or is there really no way to make this work? How can I get old versions of xcode so I can just test out my projects. I am not asking for a lot here. Any help would be greatly appreciated..honestly I am about ready to break down if I just wasted around 14 hours getting this far. Thank you so much for your time, I await your answers.
